Current Positions

Police Department:

POLICE OFFICER (full-time):

The Police Civil Service Commission is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applications may be obtained on-line at www.PoliceApp.com. No mailed applications will be accepted. The deadline for applications is Monday, March 31, 2025, Noon EST.

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

  • All applicants must be a U.S. citizen. 
  • All applicants must be twenty-one (21) years of age upon return of the application. 
  • All applicants must possess a high school diploma or a GED. 
  • The City of Lebanon will waive the $35.00 fee for the written test.
  • Please be advised that PoliceApp will charge a non-refundable processing fee. 

*PHYSICAL  AGILITY TEST*

The Lebanon City Police Department will be conducting a physical agility examination on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the Lebanon City Fire Department, 700 8th Street, Lebanon PA 17042. In the event of inclement weather, applicants will be notified with a new location.

In addition, all Non-Act 120 applicants will be given the physical agility entrance exam for the HACC Police Academy immediately following.

*WRITTEN EXAMINATION*

The written examination will be conducted following successful completion of the physical agility test.

SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD (part-time):

School Crossing Guard Positions available. Safely cross school students on their way to and from school in the City of Lebanon. $16.42/hour.  

Public Works Department:

SUMMER MAINTENANCE (full-time): 

The City of Lebanon is seeking maintenance workers for the 2025 summer season. The employee performs seasonal manual labor at City parks, playgrounds, recreation areas, streets, creeks, storm sewer channels, outfalls, drainage areas, and on buildings and equipment. Previous maintenance experience is desired. Monday -Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  $16.00 per hour. Must be minimum age of 16 and possess a valid PA Driver's License.
